FAQ'S-
1) We are moving to St.Croix should we bring our horse?
It is not easy to bring your horse here but it can be done. You can e-mail the DC and we can help you there. If you don't bring a horse we will strive to help you become mounted.
2) What equipment is a child required to have?
-----Helmet- (We can help you find the best fit and have short term loaners available!)
-----Hard soled shoes- paddock boots or tall riding boots are preferable. You may visit our links page to find suppliers who help sponsor our Pony Club. Please mention St. Croix Pony Club when ordering!
-----
A great smile and a willingness to learn!
3) Do I have to have a horse to join Pony Club?
You are not required to have your own horse but Pony Club suggests you have access to a horse. Please contact our DC and we will do whatever we can to help you find a suitable mount.
4) What parent involvement is required?
Parents are encouraged to attend as many meetings as possible. Their attendance makes the Pony Club run much more smoothly. Throughout the year parents are required to serve as parent of the day, committee members and attend "work days" to help maintain the Pony Club grounds. Other opportunities to serve include becoming an officer, hosting an event at your home and hosting an off island guest. You are welcome at any time to make donations of your time or materials-everything you do will make our Club better!
5) What are the age requirements for Pony Club?
The earliest Pony Clubbers typically join at the age of seven. In special cases our DC can make exceptions based on a child's maturity level. Please contact us. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday mornings.
