We are truly a fortunate Pony Club. Our Club was established in the 1960’s and has been going strong ever since. We are blessed with gorgeous year-round weather and are within minutes to lovely white sand beaches, historic ruins, and verdant trails.

We have a very busy Pony Club activity calendar and manage to hold between 35-40 meetings a year, including mounted clinics, mock hunts, rallies, horse trials, and dressage competitions. Our local instructional staff is made up of seasoned veterans, former Pony Club graduates, and aspiring vets-to-be. Our program is enhanced by visiting clinicians and national examiners who quickly become part of our St. Croix family and can’t wait to return to our lovely island. Many of our riders have gone on to compete internationally and have been successful in horse-related careers.

We have our challenges as island equestrians. We have limitations in all kinds of resources. Our kids have the opportunity to learn with a hands-on approach. They must take initiative and be responsible, help and mentor others.

The kids are the center of what we do: we enjoy the smiles on the faces of our junior riders as they learn to ride and care for their ponies, we cheer for the older riders who qualify for Championships, or head off-island to compete on borrowed horses. They are a great source of pride for the sponsors and parents.

Our location is what makes our Pony Club unique, but it is the kids that make us great!
